Fuji Xerox ApeosPort-IV C3370 receives BLI 2010 outstanding achievement award for energy efficiency

Asia Pacific, August 5, 2010 – Fuji Xerox today announced that Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), the leading independent multifunction product testing lab, awarded Fuji Xerox ApeosPort-IV C3370 with a 2010 “Outstanding Achievement” award for Energy Efficiency.

According to BLI, the award winning Color Multifunction Device proved to use the least energy of products tested in its class. In addition to consuming less energy in each running mode, this unit also uses less energy than the competitive average while in idle, energy-save and sleep modes, for a total projected energy consumption rate that’s less than half that of the competitive average. Because of its outstanding performance, the Fuji Xerox ApeosPort-IV C3370 is being honoured with a 2010 “Outstanding Achievement” award for “Energy Efficiency”.

In addition to its energy efficiency, the ENERGY STAR-qualified unit offers a recycled-paper mode for both copy and print output, auto color copy mode and blank-page removal, proof mode and a toner-save mode for printing. Plus, this unit has demonstrated faster than average recovery times based on BLI’s testing.

“It’s one thing to be energy efficient after setting the device is set to go into its lowest energy-using mode after the shortest amount of downtime possible. But if the unit takes forever to come out of sleep mode, real-world users might opt for a higher energy setting to achieve a faster recovery time,” said Lisa Reiner, BLI’s senior product editor for scanners and environmental.
“With its faster than average recovery time from nearly every non-running mode, the C3370 eliminates the need for users to choose between productivity and energy efficiency.”
