TOKYO, January 18, 2012— Xerox Corporation and Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd. have been placed as a leader in IDC’S 2011 MarketScape* report for Managed Print Services (MPS). The report, which analyzes MPS vendors and delivers an overview of competitive fitness, highlights both companies’ ability to serve companies of all sizes through their continuum of MPS services. According to IDC, companies considering MPS should look at the breadth of a vendor’s current offerings and the strategic outlook for the future services. “Xerox/Fuji Xerox’s high scores indicate that companies seeking MPS want a partner with market experience and depth of approach to ensure long-term results,” said Holly Muscolino, research director at IDC. “Consistent global delivery capabilities are a key differentiator, and they continue to build out their infrastructure for global support.”
Fuji Xerox has been providing MPS to clients including Misawa Homes Co., Ltd., JFE Engineering Corporation and NSW Department of Education and Communities in Australia. Additionally, since July 2011, it has been offering the Enterprise Print Services, which goes beyond traditional MPS to help gain control of documents being printed, shared and stored across the entire enterprise —whether in the office, by mobile workers or in the print center. Especially for Asia- Pacific regions, Fuji Xerox has been providing printer-centric MPS for the small- and medium-sized businesses (SMB) market, and to strengthen the capability to cater to the market needs, the company acquired Upstream Print Solutions Pty Ltd., Australia’s largest MPS provider, in 2010. “There are many ways to define and execute MPS – but only Xerox/Fuji Xerox continue to earn industry recognition as the leader because we have a proven approach and an impressive history of delivering results,” said Masaki Okano, president of Fuji Xerox Global Services that covers Japan and Asia Pacific. The MPS MarketScape report’s assessment criteria include service offerings, cost competitiveness, customer services and R&D commitment. As a leader in the MPS market, Fuji Xerox, under the partnership with Xerox, will continue to innovate to provide increased values to its customers so that they can achieve higher management efficiency and focus on their core businesses. *About IDC MarketScape: IDC MarketScape vendor analysis model is designed to provide an overview of the competitive fitness of ICT (information and communications technology) suppliers in a given market.
